GCW Potentially Working With WWE?

WWE

We have some interesting reports about a potential partnership between World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).

The Wrestling Observer reported on Friday, October 21, 2022 that both of the promotions of WWE and GCW potentially have “something going on” in reference to a possible relationship between them.

WWE And GCW Appearing To Possibly Crossover

The news regarding the promotions come after a tweet from Janela prior to this week’s Monday Night Raw.

“For everyone in GCW Wrestling, in case you missed our email, please promote WWE Raw tonight!”

Wrestling Inc. Senior News Editor Nick Hausman made contact with owner Brett Lauderdale for comment about the latest headlines swirling around in the news cycle.

“Of course, we are aware of the speculation and the rumors surrounding us right now. We are very excited for the future of GCW, which includes a number of exciting partnerships as well as a game-changing announcement in regards to how people will be able to stream and watch our events going forward! We will make our first of many announcements this Saturday during our event in Detroit, which will air LIVE on FiteTV!”

Hausman also reached out to Janela, who sent back the message:

“We can’t talk about it. I’m sorry Nick.”

Janela took to Twitter on Friday that some “huge WrestleMania weekend news” is coming this weekend to fans, referring to GCW’s Collective events which happen every year outside of the location of WWE WrestleMania. WrestleMania 39 takes place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in April 2023.

Just recently, Lauderdale posted on Twitter that wants WWE Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon to let him borrow Omos for events of GCW, tweeting that he is “all in” on the gimmick reboot of Omos.

With GCW, former WWE Superstars Jon Moxley and Matt Cardona have competed in the promotion, while World Wrestling Entertainment has picked up former GCW talent such as Cora Jade and Blake Christian, who recently made his return.
