Now that Karrion Kross is no longer signed to World Wrestling Entertainment, how will he continue in the industry?
Although Karrion Kross had hoped to receive another offer, he confirmed the other day that he was officially parting ways with WWE. There are many ways these days a wrestler can find an audience. Kross is a fully capable independent wrestler, one who also creates his own content on social media.
Meanwhile, former WWE personality, Jonathan Coachman, feels The Doom Walker could continue on the independent scene, much like in the footsteps of Matt Cardona (fka Zach Ryder).
Jonathan Coachman Says Karrion Kross Can Do What Former WWE Star Matt Cardona Did
On X/Twitter, The Coach shared a clip from his podcast Off The Ropes, in which he and WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry had discussed Karrion Kross. According to the veteran, the company fumbled with his exit because all it had to do was put “a little bit of effort.”
Coachman pointed out how over the two-time NXT Champion was getting with the fans. Be that as it may, he also added that WWE clearly did not feel the same way. Below is an excerpt of their conversation:
They want people to take pay cuts, and they’re expecting these guys and girls to say, ‘All right, well, you know, I don’t want to go to the other side but I don’t want to be out of work either. So I’ll take the pay cut.’ But guys are now going, ‘You know what? Screw that. I’m just going to take my chance on being out there,'” Henry speculated the reason behind Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s WWE exits.
Jonathan Coachman added to this, pointing out how over Kross was prior to his release [sic]. He also stated, “When it comes to the payments that [Mark Henry] is talking about, they’re trying to get it like a pyramid, where you got one guy at the top and everybody else below.
At some point, there’s a number where you can say — I can go and do what Matt Cardona did,” The Coach said. “And I can make more on the indie scene. Karrion Kross might be a guy who can do exactly what Matt Cardona did,” he added, which Henry seconded.
The Herald of Doomsday had his final match at the time of this writing at SummerSlam on Night 1, where he locked horns with Sami Zayn. This was the storyline that brought him back into the PLE match card, but little did the fans know it would be his last hurrah before his departure.
