Is WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg’s son, Gage, going to avenge his father’s loss to World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event XL?
Gage Goldberg has been involved in several WWE segments with his father in the last few years. Before the former Universal Champion’s retirement match against The Ring General this past weekend, his son had become a part of his rivalry with former World Wrestling Entertainment Superstar Bobby Lashley. That was in the summer of 2021, when the two feuded over the WWE Championship.
Gage Goldberg Has A Three-Word Message For WWE Superstar Gunther
Bill Goldberg’s retirement match was a major improvement compared to the Hall of Famer’s last few outings in the ring, but it still fell a tad short as this was meant to be his swan song. The weak finish may have hurt any bit of momentum the two heavyweights were able to build up until that point.
Towards the end of the showdown, Gunther rolled out of the ring and confronted Gage, who was sitting in the front row. The Ring General shoved the Hall of Famer’s son, which prompted the latter to hop over the barricade and ready to go. Like father, like son. Gage also followed this up with a fearless three-word message for the World Heavyweight Champion.
Standing on business,” Gage wrote on Instagram, along with some highlights of what he was up to at SNME XL.
The Ring General is an obvious choice for Gage’s potential professional wrestling in-ring debut, if that is a career path the young athlete chooses to follow down the line, and the seeds of which have already been sown. While Gage is working hard on his football career, there have been reports that WWE is interested in him.
Gage also revealed late last year that Paul Levesque, aka Triple H, offered him a tryout at the sports entertainment capital. Whether he steps inside the squared circle ultimately for a match bears watching.
