Gable Steveson will finally make his WWE in-ring debut at the NXT Great American Bash.

Almost two years after signing with the company, Gabel Steveson is set to make his in-ring debut on July 30th. After teasing that he would be making a decision on his future, Steveson came to the ring on the July 25th episode of NXT with a lot on his mind.

However, as he began to speak he was interrupted by Baron Corbin, who wasted little time in telling the star he didn’t belong in WWE. In response, Steveson said he would prove him wrong when they meet one-on-one at the Great American Bash.

The war of words sparked a brawl and the pair were eventually separated by security.

When Was Gable Steveson Supposed To Debut With WWE?

Gable Steveson was originally linked with a move to WWE back in 2020 while he was in the midst of an impressive amateur wrestling career. This took him all the way to a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, and the star signed with WWE in September 2021. In joining the sports entertainment giant he became only the second gold medalist to do so after Kurt Angle.

Shortly after signing, Steveson was moved to Monday Night Raw as part of the draft but he never wrestled on the red brand, with health problems delaying his training. Speaking back in April, Dave Meltzer revealed that Gable Steveson was scheduled to be fast-tracked to the top, but that didn’t end up happening.

Despite being on course to finally make his in-ring debut, the star is due to return to the amateur ranks later in 2023 and has admitted he wants to compete at the Olympics in 2024.
