Gable Steveson Confirms When He’ll Begin Wrestling On Raw

Olympic gold medallist and soon-to-be WWE Superstar Gable Steveson has confirmed when he plans to start showcasing his in-ring skills on Raw.

After winning Olympic Gold in Tokyo, Steveson became one of the most sought-after combat athletes in the world. With Steveson already an NCAA Champion, Danny Hodge Trophy winner, and Junior World Champion, his resume attracted a sting of suiters.

Gable Steveson chose however to sign with WWE and became the first athlete to sign a NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) contract when he signed with the company in September 2021.

Steveson was a part of the WWE Draft just one month later where he was sent to Monday Night Raw with the red brand’s final pick. The Indiana-native is yet to make his in-ring debut with the company but has appeared on-screen on Raw as recently as December 2021.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour Steveson says his WWE career begins in earnest after WrestleMania 38:

“It’ll start the day WrestleMania hits or after that. My exact start date is in the middle of April so they’re letting me finish school, they’re letting me do my thing, and then Monday Night Raws will either come really soon or shortly after that. I’m planning on being on TV and getting in the ring really really soon, after WrestleMania.”

Gable Steveson confirmed he’d be in attendance at WrestleMania and was then pushed about whether he’d be in the crowd or actually doing something on The Grandest Stage Of Them All but cryptically left it at “I’ll be there.”
