Gabe Kidd Challenges Former WWE Champion: “Come The F**k On”

Gabe Kidd NJPW WWE

NJPW star Gabe Kidd has addressed being this former WWE star’s “dream opponent”.

Earlier this year, in April 2025, former WWE star and ex-United States Champion Baron Corbin, aka Bishop Dyer, revealed Gabe Kidd as his number one dream opponent. However, never having faced each other, Kidd recently addressed Dyer’s comments and laid out an open challenge for the ex-WWE star.

During his recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the former NJPW Strong Openweight Champion called out Dyer and challenged him to a fight.

“I’m waiting. I saw him say something in an interview about the number one person he wants to wrestle on this new chapter of his career is me. Well, come on then. You want to mention my name. I mention a lot of name. Not too many people want to mention my name. If someone is going to say it, then come the fuck on. I’m waiting. Anywhere. You want to run it in Japan, get them to book you first, mate. I will fight. I will beat the fuck out of you.”

While Kidd actively appears on both NJPW and AEW, he asked Dyer to first get booked in Japan before involving himself in a match against the British wrestler.

Gabe Kidd Has Opened Up On His AEW Employment Status

In the same interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful ahead of Double or Nothing, Gabe Kidd opened up on his current AEW status.

“I don’t work for AEW. I work for Jon Moxley right now. You can say what you want, but I have my purpose, my vision, my path. That’s what I’m doing right now. Fuck all the noise. It’s about what I’m trying to accomplish, what we are trying to accomplish.”

While not a part of the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing, Kidd was briefly involved in the bout toward the closing stages of the match.

In other news: A title match on AEW Double or Nothing closed with a kiss between the opponents.
