More Superstars are expected to switch brands despite the fact that the 2024 WWE Draft has come to a close.
Concluding on the April 29th episode of Raw, both nights of the draft drew criticism from fans as any talent moves between the main roster brands were minimal and the major NXT call-ups were ones that many expected to be announced. According to a new report, there is a reason for this.
As reported by WrestleVotes, the company is pleased with how the draft turned out and didn’t want a lot of shuffling as they were happy with the main event scene on both shows. However, trades are expected before the rosters lock, which will be the May 6th episode of Raw:
Sources indicate that WWE is generally pleased with the draft results and how everything played out on TV. I’ve been told they didn’t want too much high level shuffling as they were satisfied with the pre-draft breakdowns at the top of the card. It’s worth mentioning that a trade or two is expected before Monday’s “roster-locking” deadline.
When the topic of the draft came up on his podcast, The Undertaker discussed the underwhelming picks and explained what he would have changed about it.
Shock Return On WWE TV
Unfortunately, many top stars have recently been sidelined with injury and it is unknown when they will make their return. In more positive news, a former champion who was expected to be out until the end of the year made their shock return on a recent episode of WWE NXT.
