Mandy Rose Lost The NXT Women’s Championship On The December 13th Episode Of NXT
In regards to dropping the title to Perez, the report states that the circumstances seemed “very hasty.” Sources would tell Fightful about a major title change taking place on the show less than 30 minutes before the show went on the air. Before the news of the release broke, it had been speculated that Toxic Attraction lost all of their championships due to a main roster call-up being imminent. However, Fightful have learned that there were no immediate plans to bring the trio, or Rose individually, to the main roster.
In terms of the morale of the former WWE star, it is being reported that Mandy Rose was in “good spirits” on Tuesday, and “will be fine from a financial standpoint.”
The now-former NXT Women’s Champion was surprisingly released from her WWE contract on Wednesday 14th December, one day after dropping the title to Perez. The report by Fightful has learned that Rose had signed a 5-year deal in 2019, which means the current deal would have expired in 2024 had the release not taken place.
Names in the wrestling world have taken to social media to react to the news, including members of Toxic Attraction and a talent currently signed to All Elite Wrestling.
While associated with NXT before her release, Mandy Rose spent a number of years on the main roster of WWE. It is currently unknown at this time whether or not Rose has the 90-day main roster no-compete clause in her contract or the reduced 30 days that is given to NXT Superstars.
