After yet another acclaimed match taking place outside of AEW, FTR, who remain official employees, have sent a message to Tony Khan to be booked.
Arriving in All Elite Wrestling in June 2020, FTR enjoyed a superb debut year that included a run as AEW World Tag Team Champions and an anticipated showdown vs. The Young Bucks. This success has rapidly slowed down since then, though, to such an extent that they haven’t wrestled a standard two-on-two match in AEW since May.
Instead being celebrated outside of AEW, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have repeatedly voiced their frustrations at how they’ve been handled in the Tony Khan-helmed promotion, most recently calling out Khan himself for failing to properly utilise them.
Following their victory over Aussie Open at NJPW Royal Quest II, a post-match in-ring promo saw Harwood pleading to be booked as he stated, ‘Tony Khan, we still work for you. Book us, brother.’
Can we just call them 7 ⭐️ FTR from now on? Seen them on TV loads but you need to see them live to do them justice! @DaxFTR@CashWheelerFTR#RoyalQuestpic.twitter.com/WiLypNvPNa

FTR currently hold the IWGP Tag Team, ROH World Tag Team, and AAA World Tag Team Championships, nearing their one-year anniversary with the latter of those titles. It was the ROH titles defended in the former Revival’s last two-on-two match in AEW, going to a double disqualification with Roppongi Vice on Dynamite’s 25 May broadcast.
With it being public knowledge that FTR is signed with AEW through to at least July 2023, reports suggest they could be exiting the company and heading back to WWE, so long as their demands are met. It’s alleged they’d only be open to a sports entertainment return if given the ‘Roman Reigns schedule‘.
