FTR Removed From AEW Video Game

FTR AEW

With AEW’s first-ever video game due for release in 2022, two major names look like they won’t be a part of it as it looks like top guys are out for FTR.

No other tag team has had a 2022 quite like FTR between championship wins and quality of matches, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have been at the forefront of tag team wrestling in the whole business.

FTR captured the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship from The Briscoes at Supercard of Honor to put with the AAA Tag Team Title that the team won in 2021. At Forbidden Door in June, Harwood and Wheeler became seven-star as they captured the IWGP Tag Team Championship from The United Empire.

Despite this success, it looks like the team is set to miss out on appearing in AEW Fight Forever – the company’s first video game according to a report from Fightful Select.

The report notes that FTR will not be part of the first version of the game released, despite originally being set for inclusion. It is noted that the team had been removed by the spring of 2022 and were said to not be happy as inclusion in video games usually leads to bonus payments.

Whether FTR will emerge later down the line as downloadable characters remains to be seen.
