FTR have captured their third simultaneous set of World Tag Team Championships at Forbidden Door, adding the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships to their trophy cabinet.
One of the key title matches scheduled for AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door saw a three-team contest for both the ROH World Tag Team and IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships, as FTR, Roppongi Vice, and The United Empire’s Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan went into a war.
Despite half of the team seemingly suffering a shoulder injury early into the match, it would be FTR who left Chicago with both championships intact. The defending ROH World Tag Team Champions usurped Cobb and Khan for the IWGP straps by pinning Roppongi Vice’s Rocky Romero.

Dax Harwood appeared to suffer an injury to his shoulder during the match, clutching his shoulder and immediately tagging out after performing a snap elbow drop. He later returned to ringside with his shoulder taped up, but there’s no word as of yet on whether this was a storyline injury or a legitimate one.
Together, Harwood and Cash Wheeler have reigned as the ROH World Tag Team Champions since the promotion’s Supercard of Honor XV card. It was there that the former Revival dethroned Jay and Mark Briscoe in a five-star rated affair to lift the ROH championships.
The duo have previously been crowned as the WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown, WWE NXT, and AEW World Tag Team Champions, as well as currently holding the AAA World Tag Team Championships. Adding the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships to their ever-growing list marks the seventh set of tag titles for the acclaimed duo.
