New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that FTR will defend the IWGP Tag Team Championships for the first time at Royal Quest II in the UK.
At AEWxNJPW Forbidden Door on June 26th, FTR added to their collection of gold when they defeated Roppongi Vice – Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero – and the United Empire duo of Great O-Khan & Jeff Cobb to become the IWGP Tag Team Champions for the first time.
The pair made their NJPW debut at the recent Music City Mayhem event which took place in Nashville, TN on July 30th. There, they teamed with Alex Zayne in a losing effort against United Empire’s Aussie Open – Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis – and TJP.
Following the bout, Aussie Open challenged FTR to a match for the IWGP tag titles.
Now, the champions have responded in a video message, confirming that they will face the Australian stars at Royal Quest II in London on October 1st.

Aussie Open recently took part in the tournament to crown the AEW Trios Champions. The pair teamed with the leader of United Empire, Will Ospreay, and defeated Death Triangle in the first round before being knocked out by The Elite’s Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks in a critically acclaimed semi-final match.
