The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of Friday Night SmackDown have been revealed.
As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the August 12th edition of Friday Night SmackDown pulled in an average of 1,927,000 viewers with a 0.44 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
By contrast the previous week drew an average of 2,093,000 viewers with a 0.49 rating in the key demographic.
The August 12th episode of SmackDown was headlined by Intercontinental Title clash between Gunther and Shinsuke Nakamura. Unsurprisingly, the bout was one of the most hard-hitting matches the show has seen for some time, with both men holding nothing back. Despite the best efforts of Nakamura it was the giant Austrian who retained his title.
Elsewhere Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah advanced in the Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament while the Viking Raiders delivered a brutal assault to Kofi Kingston.
The other big talking point from the show was the return of Hit Row. Flanked by B-Fab, Top Dolla and Ashante “Thee” Adonis made short work of two local talents.
