Franky Monet Tells ‘Fan’ To “STFU” Following Ageist Comment

Franky Monet has taken no prisoners in reply to an ageist comment suggesting that wrestling companies shouldn’t hire ‘older’ stars.

Monet was part of the group of 18 WWE Superstars that were shockingly released from their contracts on November 4th. The former IMPACT Knockouts Champion joins the likes of Keith Lee, Nia Jax, and Karrion Kross in leaving the company.

In Franky Monet’s case, her release might be considered even more stunning considering she only made her WWE debut in April 2021 after signing her contract in February.

Monet has already indicated that she will be known as she was before her WWE run as ‘La Wera Loca’ Taya Valkyrie with her Twitter bio indicating that she is subject to a 30-day non-compete clause from WWE as she is taking bookings from December 4th.

Former ECW star Tommy Dreamer mentioned on social media following the news of the latest mass release that he’d be happy to build a wrestling company around the likes of Valkyrie, Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Mia Yim, and Ember Moon. A fan then responded saying that companies shouldn’t hire older wrestlers, drawing the ire of Taya Valkyrie:

“STFU…. I just turned 38, I’ve been ashamed to even SPEAK about my age until today. 38 is not old…especially when you’re a man. Process that.”

To put that into context, Valkyrie is the same age as AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. Current WWE Champion Big E is 35 years old while WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is 36.
