It has been announced that The Four Horsemen will be reuniting at Starrcast V for the final time.

The Four Horsemen are arguably the most famous wrestling stable in history, enjoying near unparalleled success, while setting the template for numerous groups that came after them.

The group formed back in 1985 and featured Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, Tully Blanchard and JJ Dillon. Headed by Flair, the faction personified excess, and wrestling excellence, reigning supreme over professional wrestling for the rest of the decade.

Flair and co, were later joined by Barry Windham and Lux Luger, while the group continued in various guises with numerous line-ups until 1999.

Following the news that Ric Flair will be returning to the ring one last time at Starrcast V, it has now been confirmed that the Four Horsemen will be reuniting for a special panel. The appearance is being billed as the first and last time that Flair, Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Lex Luger and Windham will be on stage together.

Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and JJ Dillon were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 as The Four Horsemen.

Following the announcement of Flair’s return it was reported that the match in question will be a six-man tag, with Flair teaming up with FTR to take on The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and Ricky Steamboat. While there was no confirmation on the participants, it was reported that Starrcast organiser Conrad Thompson had met with Steamboat personally in an effort to get him onboard.

However, The Dragon’ has since revealed that he turned down the chance to appear in the match at Starrcast, as he wants fans to remember him when he could still perform at a high level.
