Gable Steveson has joined the NFL.
Despite much fanfare when he signed an NIL deal with WWE in 2021, Gable Steveson only had one televised match in the company, taking on Baron Corbin at the 2023 edition of NXT Great American Bash. He’s competed on a number of NXT live events and in a handful of dark matches since that time, but wasn’t seen in the company after his dark match against Cedric Alexander on February 9th.
On May 4th, news broke that Gable Steveson had been released from his WWE contract. The majority of this round of cuts was reported on May 3rd and included Drew Gulak, Valentina Feroz, and Boa.
What NFL Team Signed Gable Steveson?
Now, ESPN reports that Steveson has signed with the Buffalo Bills after reports that multiple NFL teams had reached out the star. According to his agent Carter Chow, Steveson is signed to a standard three year rookie deal with the NFL, and the Buffalo Bills confirmed the signing on social media, writing:

“I have been fortunate to compete at the highest level of competition in my sport but am looking forward to the challenge of seeing how my wrestling skills may translate to football. Prior to signing with WWE, Steveson was a standout in the world of freestyle wrestling, winning Olympic gold at the 2020 games.
