Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Returns To Action

A former two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion has returned to action after three months out of the ring.

Nikki Cross emerged victorious in her first singles match since being defeated by Alex Bliss on the February 1st episode of Monday Night RAW.

Cross was initially drafted to the red brand in October, but had been used sparingly in the months after her arrival. Following the switch from SmackDown the Scot only appeared on RAW four times, including her outing against Bliss. The Glasgow native had previously won the Women’s Tag Team Championship’s alongside Bliss on two occasions.

The pair had initially enjoyed a successful run from 2019 through 2020. However, once Bliss joined forces with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, the team disbanded.

On the upcoming edition of Main Event, which is due to air on May 13th, Cross defeated Naomi in singles action. Naomi herself has recently outlined her determination to become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Lana.

Also at the taping, Ricochet and Mustafa Ali continued their long running feud. After Ricochet clinched victory the previous week, the pair fought to a double count-out.

The previous week’s edition of Main Event also saw Jinder Mahal return to the ring. The former WWE Champion hadn’t competed in singles action in almost a year before defeating Jeff Hardy.

Mahal has since made a winning return to Monday Night RAW on on May 10th where he again, pinned Hardy. Upon his return Mahal has appeared flanked by Dilsher Shanky and Rinku Singh who was formerly in Indus Sher.
