Former two-time WWE Women’s Champion made her surprise return to the ring for the first time in years at a recent edition of IMPACT Wrestling.
At the latest set of television tapings the former five-time Knockouts Champion, Tara made her first in-ring appearance for the promotion since 2013. Tara returned to IMPACT at Hard To Kill for Mickie James’ Title Vs. Career match against Jordynne Grace. Tara celebrated with James in the ring after her victory.
Following the PPV, Tara teamed with Geisle Shaw to challenge The Death Dollz – Taya Valkyrie and Jessicka for the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. After tasting defeat in her first match back in a decade, Tara turned on Shaw by hitting her signature move Widow’s Peak.
Tara debuted for the promotion then known as TNA in 2009. She won the Knockouts Championship from Angelina Love within weeks of joining the company. As Tara, she would go on to win the title a further four times and Knockouts Tag Team Championships once.
The tapings also saw number one contender Masha Slamovich confront James about a match for the title. Plus, Rich Swann defeat Callihan, Moose, Chris Sabin, Eddie Edwards and Rhino in a World Title Number One Contenders Elimination Match.
Tara Appeared At WWE Royal Rumble In 2021.
Her last in-ring outing was at 2021’s women’s Royal Rumble match. Her participation in the match was her first WWE appearance in twelve years.
Known as Victoria, she debuted for the company in 2000 as one of the Godfather’s lady friends. After training in OVW for two years she returned as an on-screen performer and was immediately inserted into the women’s title scene.
During her time in the promotion, she had a heated feud with Trish Stratus. Their rivalry over the Women’s Championship saw them clash in a Hardcore Match at Survivor Series, and Victoria capture her first title.
Victoria remained a focal point of the division and competed in the first-ever women’s Steel Cage match on Monday Night Raw. She then won the women’s title for the second time at WrestleMania XX defeating Molly Holly in a Hair vs Hair match.
