A former WWE talent is expected to continue her work with AEW.
Recently, former WWE ring announcer JoJo Offerman made a surprise appearance for All Elite Wrestling this past weekend at Collision. Shocking the fans, Offerman returned to her previous duties during the January 4th episode of Collision in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Present at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, Offerman did ring announcing for a dark match before the main show went live on TNT and Max. Now, according to the latest report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, she is expected to stay and work more with the promotion in the future. However, not many details were shared.
All Elite Wrestling already has multiple ring announcers such as veterans Justin Roberts and Bobby Cruise, as well as Arkady Aura.
Offerman served as Raw’s ring announcer from 2016 to 2018 and remained under contract before departing the promotion in 2021. She joined the Stamford-based promotion in 2013 as an in-ring talent and was later transitioned into a ring announcer. However, the Fightful Select report could not confirm whether Offerman is interested toward an in-ring return.
JoJo Offerman and Bray Wyatt had two children together and became engaged on April 28, 2022. Unfortunately, Bray Wyatt tragically passed away on August 24, 2023.
Recently it was reported that an AEW star is expected to return to WWE when their contract expires.
A Former UFC Champion Has Reflected On His Short WWE Run
In 2019, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez made his much-awaited WWE debut. Diving straight into a feud with Brock Lesnar, he suffered a major loss against The Beast Incarnate at Crown Jewel 2019.
A few months later, after his feud against Lesnar, Velasquez would be terminated from his contract. Recently speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Cain Velasquez reflected on his short run at the Stamford-based promotion.
No, again, it was something that for me, it was living a childhood dream. It was something that was very fun, a great experience. It’s all a learning experience, right? No, that wasn’t. It was something that I wanted to do, I did. Again, the road of learning never stops. That’s why we’re here. We’re here to learn and teach each other. So now, for me, it’s helping those others, helping the people coming up, learning from the guys that are training now, the guys that are in the position that I was a couple years ago. I’m just grateful to be here. I’m grateful that I’m still learning and I’m still teaching.”
