The IInspiration, formerly known as WWE‘s The IIconics, made their long-awaited return to the ring at Prestige Wrestling’s Nothing To Lose event, reuniting for the first time since April 2022.
Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay, who rose to fame in WWE as Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, teamed up once again and secured a win over Kylie Rae and Nicole Matthews. The match marked McKay’s first in-ring appearance since the duo’s final outing at IMPACT Rebellion 2022.
Since their last match together, both have taken time away from wrestling to focus on family. McKay gave birth in December 2023, while Lee welcomed children in August 2022 and June 2024. Lee has made sporadic appearances since stepping back, but neither has worked full-time in recent years.
The Australian duo first made their name in WWE after debuting on SmackDown in 2018, following a three-year stint in NXT. They captured the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 35, holding the belts for nearly four months.
However, their run was cut short after losing a match with a breakup stipulation on Raw in 2020, followed by their release from WWE in 2021 due to budget cuts. They resurfaced later that year in TNA Wrestling, winning the Knockouts Tag Team Titles on their debut.
In April 2022, The IInspiration announced they would be stepping away indefinitely from in-ring competition.
