Former WWE Superstar Sarah Logan has recalled a bizarre incident where she ended up “growling” at WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
Logan, real name Sarah Rowe described the incident during a recent appearance on the Oral Sessions podcast, with Renee Paquette.
After a handful of one-off appearances, Rowe signed with WWE back in 2015. After competing in the Mae Young Classic in 2017, she joined forces with Ruby Riott (Ruby Soho) and Liv Morgan debuting on the main roster as The Riott Squad.
After the group split, Logan performed under a new ‘Viking inspired’ gimmick before leaving the company in April 2020.
In conversation with Paquette, Logan reflected on her final meeting with Vince McMahon. Logan said that despite being heartbroken, she thanked McMahon for the opportunity to work for WWE.
“My final days in WWE, I actually went into Vince’s office and I had it in my brain that I was going to go in there and be mean and give him a piece of my mind,” she said. “I went in there and was the most professional POS that I’ve ever been in my life. Wrestling doesn’t owe me anything and it’s given me more than I could have hoped for. I went in there and was like, ‘this has always been my dream job. I lived it. It’s given me my best friend and husband and now a child. Thank you and I hope we meet again someday. I shook his hand and left.’ I couldn’t sit there and act like I was pissed. Was I heartbroken? Yes, but I had the best time of my life there and my life is still getting better.”
While that meeting may sound relatively uneventful, Logan then recalled a story where she “growled” at the WWE Chairman. Logan explained that she mistook McMahon clearing his throat for him growling at her, so replied in the same way.
“We had a few conversations, but I wasn’t like, ‘Hey, V.’ I growled at him one time. We were at Tribute to the Troops and my mind is blown because I come from a military family and Vince walks by with his entourage and he goes, ‘Ladies, [clears throat’ and I go, ‘Hi sir, grrr’ and he like stops and keeps going, [Ruby Riott] grabs me and goes, ‘Did you just growl at Vince McMahon?’ ‘He growled at me first.’ ‘Sarah, he was clearing his throat, he was clearing his throat, he wasn’t growling.’ I thought we were doing like you growl, I growl,”
Following her release, Sarah Rowe gave birth to her first child Raymond Cash Rowe on February 9th 2021. The baby boy was named after Rowe’s husband, Raymond Rowe, better known as Erik from the Viking Raiders. The pair married in December 2018.
