A former WWE Superstar has got their fingers crossed that Randy Orton can return to action due to his importance to the current locker room.

Big Damo signed with WWE in 2016 and went on to perform under the name Killian Dain. The Northern Irish star was released by the company in June 2021 after spells on NXT and SmackDown.

Speaking in a new interview with WrestlingNews.Co Damo recalled his stint working in WWE. During the conversation, the star heaped praise on Randy Orton for not only his skills in the ring but his importance backstage.

“Randy was an incredible locker room leader and [a] great [person] to be around because… you hear all of these stories about them and they’re just not true. He was wonderful to all of us, watching him wrestle every night on the house shows and stuff like that was fucking incredible because he’s outstanding at what he does. I think that I learned to appreciate him more the more I saw him as well because he always had great matches and everything else, but the way he took his time and orchestrated the crowd, he was literally a level above everybody.

I’m hearing that he’s having back issues, I’m really hoping it’s not true because he’s maybe the most important person on that roster right now and I’m hoping that he’s able to push through it, what a worker he is. What a leader.”

Is Randy Orton Retuning To WWE?

Randy Orton hasn’t wrestled since the May 20th, 2022 edition of Friday Night SmackDown when he and Matt Riddle lost their Raw Tag Team Titles to The Usos.

After the match RK-Bro were attacked by The Bloodline, leaving them broken at ringside. This led to Orton disappearing from television, it was later revealed that he was struggling with a back injury which eventually caused him to undergo surgery.

Despite initial fears that his career could be over, it was recently reported that Orton’s name has begun to be mentioned backstage again in recent weeks, hinting he could be returning in the near future.
