Bobby Lashley’s road to WrestleMania has resembled a trek up a rocky mountain track rather than a smooth highway ride into California.
Coming out of Elimination Chamber the star became wrapped up in a feud with Bray Wyatt. A feud that only started because Brock Lesnar turned down a program with WWE’s resident spooky star.
However, with Wyatt out of action with an undisclosed illness, the All-Mighty has found himself at something of a loose end.
It has been reported should Wyatt be unable to perform at WrestleMania, Lashley will instead be involved with LA Knight. Furthermore, the former World Champion has been confirmed as a participant in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the March 31st edition of SmackDown.
Lashley has now been the subject of another unlikely challenge. Speaking in a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE Superstar Chris Masters said that he would like to face the star at WrestleMania.
The pair have a lengthy history with Lashley being the first man to break the Master Lock back in 2007. In an unlikely twist, Lashley’s current finishing move in the Hurt Lock, is actually the same Full-Nelson submission.
“I just noticed today that Wyatt is out for WrestleMania. So Bobby, he is looking for an opponent and I told Bobby under his Instagram posts that I left that date open for him. So maybe one day we will get this Hurt Lock-Master Lock match. Believe me, I’m pushing for it. But, you know, a couple loose ends I got to tie up there.”
Bray Wyatt To Face Bobby Lashley WrestleMania After All?
Despite it being widely believed that Wyatt will miss WrestleMania, he could be heading back to WWE television very soon. Ahead of the March 27th episode of Monday Night Raw, a new report has told fans to expect to see “glitches and QR codes this week.” WWE used a series of QR codes and clues to hype Wyatt’s return back in October.
