Former WWE Star Summer Rae Joins Cryptocurrency Company As Executive

Former WWE Superstar Summer Rae has become possibly the first female athlete to become executive of a cryptocurrency-related company.

Danielle Moinet is better known to WWE fans as Summer Rae from her stint in the company that lasted six years from 2011 until 2017. Summer Rae spent those first two years at WWE’s former developmental territory FCW before transitioning into NXT. Rae spent her first few months of WWE’s newest brand as a ring announcer before getting involved in the in-ring action herself. She formed a team with multiple-time WWE Women’s Champions Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair. The trio was known as The BFFs – The Boss, The Flair, and The First Lady of NXT.

She then debuted on Raw as the dance partner of fellow NXT alumni Fandango. When that pairing dissolved Rae had a number of alliances with the most well-known being her partnership with Rusev. Rusev had split with previous on-screen manager Lana and she was now by the side of Dolph Ziggler. However, the storyline was cut short when Rusev and Lana’s real-life engagement was shared on social media.

Rae competed at WrestleMania 30 as part of the Vickie Guerrero invitational which was won by AJ Lee. Summer Rae’s last televised WWE match came in July of 2016 with a victory over Alicia Fox. She then spent much of the next year inactive before officially being released by WWE in October 2017.

Danielle Moinet is set to join Cornerstone Global Management LLC as their new Director of Marketing and Social Engagement. The press release to announce her appointment notes Moinet has a reach of a combined 2.7 million followers on Twitter and Instagram. Moinet also boasts a degree in business with an emphasis on marketing from East Carolina University.

The release also gives information on what CGM as a company does:

“CGM is a cryptocurrency fintech company offering the soon to be released payroll conversion product Hedge, changing government backed currencies like the US Dollar, Euro and British Pound into Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum based upon employee preferences.”

The release also notes the role Moinet will play in leading the company’s preparation for Bitcoin 2021, an industry conference event being held in Miami in June.
