Former WWE star Taya Valkyrie has continued to find success in the wrestling world following her release from WWE in November 2021.
The Canadian athlete is now one-third of the Death Dollz alongside Jessicka and Rosemary, and they are the reigning IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Champions. She is also the reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and has made a number of appearances for Billy Corgan’s NWA.
Former WWE Star Rules Out Return
Recently, Valkyrie was asked during a K&S Wrestlefest signing if she would consider returning to WWE or joining AEW.
“I don’t know. I don’t if I would want to go back. I was fired at the worst time in human history, unfortunately. I worked very hard to get there and I continued to prove myself over and over again, especially this last year. I don’t know. I’m in a good place, I’m working everywhere, making lots of money, being happy, mentally and physically good. Who knows,” she said.
When asked about the possibility of joining AEW, she said with a laugh, “I’m here, hey.” Later during the signing, she was asked again about AEW and said, “Who knows. Especially the last few years (wrestling has been unpredictable), you never know.”
Valkyrie has received immense support from other wrestlers, including AEW’s Saraya (formerly Paige in WWE), who recently tweeted that she wanted to see Taya in AEW.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley and former WWE Champion CM Punk have also praised Valkyrie’s work in the past and expressed their support for her. Punk tweeted that she’s “one of the best in the business” and Foley said that she “deserves to be the top star in pro wrestling”.
Valkyrie’s future in the wrestling world remains to be seen, but fans are eager to find out what promotions and opportunities she will pursue next.
