Former WWE star Maven has revealed how much extra money he earned when he headlined an episode of Monday Night Raw against Triple H.
Maven, who won the first-ever Tough Enough competition, spent much of his four-year WWE career in the lower mid-card. However, on 15 November 2004, he found himself in the main event of Raw after being appointed acting General Manager for the night. Seizing the opportunity, Maven booked himself in a World Heavyweight Championship match against “The Game” Triple H.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Maven shared how much WWE compensated him for his brief stint in the main event spotlight.
“It was only $1,500 more than what I would normally make, but I had so much more on my plate, and when you’re in the main event you’re considered the main draw, one of the reasons people shelled out that ticket money.”
Maven acknowledged the financial logic behind the higher pay, even if the increase wasn’t as substantial as some might expect.
“Obviously, it stands to reason that if you’re in the main event, you’re going to make more.”
Despite the modest pay rise, Maven’s opportunity to share the ring with one of WWE’s biggest stars remains a significant moment in his career.
What Would It Take For Maven To Return To WWE?
Maven spoke about the possibility of him making a surprise WWE return and what it would take for him to accept a hypothetical offer. Maven said that due to him being close to 50 years old, he fully believes that he won’t step foot in a wrestling ring again, but if an offer was made, it would have to be for a massive financial sum in order for him to accept.
