A former WWE star has shared details about her time at the company following her recent exit.
Just hours before the 2nd May episode of SmackDown, WWE released several main-roster and NXT superstars from their contracts. Several top names, such as Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, and Cora Jade, made the list, including former women’s tag-team champion Dakota Kai.
Now, within just a few days of their release, reports emerged about how a few of those released names were perceived to be “lazy”. However, not staying silent to the accusations, former NXT stars Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade decided to speak up. Serving their 30-day no compete clause, Dolin wrote on X(Twitter) and shared her side of the story.
“When I wasn’t traveling to work for either of the two companies I was working for, I trained very hard 3-4 days a week, bumping my ass off and doing cardio drills with one of the best/toughest coaches I’ve worked with. And worked out every single day. With live events every other weekend. So yeah I don’t wanna hear this lol. The way my body feels says otherwise. “
Soon, Cora Jade responded to the accusations on X(Twitter) and claimed that she had undergone body shaming during her time in the promotion. Elaborating on the situation, she said,
“This, plus can’t forget having to go to my own gym outside of work after “strength and conditioning” that wasn’t doing anything for me other than get me body shamed by my bosses, coworkers, and fans 🙂 crazy!”
Backstage News On Braun Strowman’s WWE Exit
“He is the one that the salary was high. One person told me that they felt he was being… he was paid more than how they were using him, I guess is the best way to put it, but salary played a part in this.”
