Former WWE Star Paige (Saraya) Shares Emotional Personal Update; Announces Social Media Break

Former WWE star Paige, Saraya

Former WWE star Paige, aka Saraya, recently issued an emotional personal update. She also announced a temporary departure from social media.

Paige, real-life Saraya Bevis, is currently away from wrestling after ending her stint with AEW. The star was previously with WWE for 11 years, as she became a path-breaking star in the women’s division. She had a sensational run in the promotion, becoming the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion and also a two-time Divas Champion. The star then injured her neck in 2016 and had to take a lengthy break. Another neck injury in 2017 ultimately led to her in-ring retirement. The star stayed on with WWE in non-wrestling roles for another five years before making the move to AEW, where she wrestled again and also won the women’s title.

Recently, Saraya took to Instagram to share an update about her dog, Lobster. He revealed that Lobster had been keeping sick for a while, with doctors suspecting the dog of having cancer. However, he has now been diagnosed as not having cancer but is still very sick. Saraya issued a statement regarding the same.

I’ll start this off with saying HES ALIVE just so I don’t spook people with this kinda post. It’s also a long post but please stop and read ❤️
That being said. He’s been a very sick boy..
And for everyone that knows me, knows lobster is my world. My soul dog. He saved me 8 years ago when I rescued him in Orlando Florida. He’s been through it all with me. He’s my best friend.
a few months ago I noticed he was having a severe cough. I immediately took him to the emergency vet and they told me he has a cancer mass in his lung and said they’re sorry there’s not much they can do. They gave me info for an oncologist because I refused to give up on him.
The dr did CT scans and told me with his age they can do surgery but he would still only have a year to live depending on the outcome but he would have 6 months without it.
Of course I opted for the surgery.
For the past few months hes been doing chemo. It didn’t affect him at all until the last 2 sessions. Altho I got the GREAT NEWS he was cancer free (🥹😭) he got very very sick and not getting better. This past week he randomly started gurgling and then all of a sudden he was hemorrhaging really bad thru his nose. Clots the size of tomatoes.
I rushed him in out the door with my friend jazzy (a fucking angel) who held towels under his face while I drove to the emergency vet.. He then started coughing up blood.. I get to there & he would not stop bleeding for over 6 hours. Luckily it slowed down but it was a persistent flow.
His dr wasn’t in till today so all they could do is keep him stable & comfortable until she was there but they told me they think his cancer may be back and if it’s in his brain it’s not good..I was crushed. This week has been torture but I got the news today he DOES NOT have cancer and it’s a bad fungal infection he picked up because when you do chemo your immune system is completely shot.
Although my boy is very sick he’s a fighter and he is so strong!
I love him so much! I am so grateful I get to have my sweet boy beside me. I’m so fucking happy. I cried happy tears today knowing I didn’t lose my best friend.. He’s my Lobster,” Saraya wrote.

Former WWE Star Paige (Saraya) Also Revealed She Was Taking A Break From Social Media

In the comments section of the same post, the erstwhile Paige revealed that she would be taking a break from social media for the next few days. The star was clearly stressed by Lobster’s health and wants to focus on his recovery.

Special thanks to all my friends who were there for me this past week. It was incredibly rough but all of you text me every day, multiple times to make sure I was okay and to get updates on my boy. I feel very grateful for the people around me, I’m a lucky girl.
I’ll be taking a few days away from social.. See ya soon,” Saraya wrote.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the former WWE star as far as her wrestling career is concerned.

ITR Wrestling would like to wish Lobster the best of health. Best wishes to Saraya as well in these difficult times.
