Former WWE star Matt Riddle’s recent controversy has come with a hefty price.
Former WWE star Matt Riddle has been in controversy once again as he recently no-showed a charity event in the UK. Speaking on social media after the news broke, the former United States Champion stated that the promotion was lying and that it was not a charity event until the last moment. The star also made some controversial comments about the MeToo movement and called those who believed it some expletive-laden names.
Now, the star has been removed from a convention.

The official Facebook page of SiouxperCon commented on Matt Riddle’s recent allegations and stated that the former WWE star’s thoughts did not align with their views. In a statement released, the convention that will be hosting the SiouxperMania wrestling event will be donating ten percent of their proceeds to The Compass Center, a local organization helping victims of se*ual abuse and domestic violence.
In light of recent public statements made by Matt Riddle regarding the topics of SA and DV, SiouxperCon has made the decision to cancel his appearance at this year’s convention. The statements that were made in no way represent our organization or event, and are not aligned with the mission, vision, and values of our organization.” The convention also confirmed that fans who purchased photo opportunities with Riddle would be automatically refunded.”
While it was also accused that Riddle failed to return the deposit money for the charity event that he no-showed, it was clarified that the money was returned. However, that does not relieve Riddle from all the controversial statements that he has made, and all of it has come with a hefty price.
It remains to be seen whether promotions will also cancel some of his appearances. The star recently called CM Punk a creep and questioned his relationship with former WWE star Cora Jade.
