Former WWE Superstar wanted to do a casket match.
Shotzi was among the talents who left WWE in May earlier this year. Many consider her run in the main roster to be lackluster and deem her underutilized, especially with how she was presented in the developmental brand. As it turns out, the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion had other plans to elevate the women’s division.
While appearing on the In the Weeds with Jeremy Lambert and SP3, Shotzi shared that she pitched to have a Women’s Casket Match ever since hosting Halloween Havoc. Although her creative suggestion never came to fruition in WWE, she is adamant she will be involved in that stipulation someday.
I had been pitching to WWE to have a Casket Match since I started hosting Halloween Havoc and it never happened. No girl had ever done a Casket Match and I wanted to be the first. I made that clear for so many years. You’ll definitely see me in a Casket Match.” [H/T: Fightful]

Shotzi has been involved in some special stipulation matches in WWE during her run, like Street Fights, WarGames, and Holiday Havoc, among others. Since departing from the Stamford-based promotion, she has wrestled a Deathmatch in GCW.
Shotzi Had A Positive Reaction After Learning She Was Released By WWE
Being fired from a job generally wouldn’t come with a good feeling. However, the former WWE star had a different reaction to the news. On the Busted Open Radio, Shotzi said that she felt free, and a weight was lifted off her chest when she learned about her exit, along with a feeling of excitement for her future.
Honestly, I didn’t expect this, but I just feel so free, and I just feel like this weight is lifted off me.”
“I feel clarity, and I just feel extremely motivated and excited for the future. I’m ready to get to work because I have just been sitting at home for what feels like the last two years.”
In other news: Alexa Bliss apologized to Shotzi after taking her Royal Rumble spot.
