After the end of the Attitude Era, intergender wrestling has grown in popularity throughout professional wrestling’s independent circuit, however, some male wrestlers are getting down with the idea of men wrestling women. Scotty 2 Hotty is one of those men, who spoke out against the male vs. female style of pro wrestling.

Former WWE Star Scotty 2 Hotty Deletes Twitter After Speaking Out

Known as Scotty 2 Hotty in WWE, the former professional wrestler took to Twitter and said that he has no interest in taking part in any bouts that sees him taking on a woman, and his main reasoning is centered around the fact that he has a daughter.

Scotty posted on Twitter:

“Dear promoters. I DO NOT ‘fight’ women. I’m 49 & have a 20 year old daughter. ‘Hurting’ women isn’t appealing to me. I understand that there are men that do it these days. It’s just not my thing. If that makes me old or out of touch, I’ll take it. Please stop trying to book it.”

While he was active in WWE, Scotty 2 Hotty was scheduled to square off against Chyna and Linda Miles in a match, and he had a second tweet addressing that situation.

“Also, before my matches from 20+ years ago with Linda Miles, Chyna, or any other women are brought up, I know what I did. It was a different time, a different place, & I wasn’t a father to a 20 yr old daughter.”

After Scotty 2 Hotty expressed his opinion, it was received with backlash, with the anger towards Scotty being so great that he ultimately deleted his Twitter. At the time of this writing, his Twitter account no longer exists.

Scotty 2 Hotty was a part of the Too Cool faction with Grandmaster Sexay and Rikishi during his time in WWE.
