Former WWE Star Credits Bayley For Making Segment With Hall Of Famer Possible

Bayley holding up WWE Women's Championship

Former WWE star Aliyah is “beyond grateful” for the lengths Bayley went to for a segment with a Hall of Famer.

Back in August 2022, Aliyah competed against Bayley in her hometown of Toronto, Canada. Before the match took place, The Role Model taunted Aliyah in a backstage segment, only for Trish Stratus to come to her aid.

During an appearance on the Johnny I Pro Show, Aliyah praised the current WWE Women’s Champion and explained that it was her that made the segment with Stratus happen.

“Fun fact, a little story here, Bayley, she’s awesome. I just wanna say a huge congrats to her. She’s champ right now and she’s absolutely killing it.

“So, I think I was just scheduled to wrestle Bayley in that match. I think Bayley went out of her way that day and she went to the writers and the producers and she pitched that backstage promo with Trish Stratus for me to have it with Trish and I’m so beyond grateful for Bayley.

“She’s such an amazing locker room leader and she does little things like that to stand up for the other girls if she has an idea and she’ll go pitch it, you know? Just to make the show better.”

Aliyah was released from WWE in September 2023 as part of talent cuts in the wake of Endeavor’s takeover of the promotion.

Bayley Wants Major Change In WWE Women’s Division

Bayley has revealed the big change she wants to see for WWE’s women’s division. The star believes there need to be more storylines for women that aren’t just based around the championships. She explained that the company should show a different side to the women through more personal stories, allowing them to show off their range.
