Former WWE Star Claims Kevin Owens And Sami Zayn Were Difficult To Work With

A former WWE star has once again spoken about their time in the promotion while also making the claim that they had trouble working with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

A part of the company from 2018 to 2023, Matt Riddle teamed with Owens and Zayn in April and May of 2023 as the trio had matches against Imperium, The Bloodline and The Judgment Day.

During a recent interview with Scott Johnson of the Going Ringside podcast, the former Tag Team Champion and MMA fighter was asked who was his hardest opponent. From a physical standpoint, Riddle responded that Sheamus hit the hardest but was easy to put a match together with. Riddle then referenced Owens and Zayn, saying that they were “very difficult” to work with:

“Hardest opponent? Hardest opponent in the ring? I would have to say Sheamus. Sheamus, easy to work with, hits really hard. So hardest in the ring. But, then when I think about who’s harder to maybe work with, I would have to say Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens… It’s hard to put a complete sentence together with those guys if you know what I’m saying… Very difficult. Sheamus hits ya hard, but it’s easy to put together.”

Also in the interview, the former WWE star stated he was open to working with Vince McMahon.

Kevin Owens And Sami Zayn Renew Rivalry

Owens and Zayn once again faced off at Elimination Chamber, this time in an unsanctioned match. Following a war that saw many nasty bumps and a barbed wire chair, Owens walked away victorious and looked to continue the attack before a returning Randy Orton made the save. Following the show, a report gave more insight into why a major decision was made in the Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn match.
