Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Open To AEW Switch

WWE Women's Royal Rumble

After being released by WWE in November 2021, Nia Jax hinted that her wrestling career might be over.

Posting on social media shortly after her departure the star admitted that it was “highly unlikely” that she would wrestle again. However, fast forward to January 2023, and Jax was back in the ring as the 30th entrant into the women’s Royal Rumble match.

The star lasted a little under two minutes in the match before being eliminated by the other 11 women left in the ring.

Following this appearance, Jax has again disappeared from wrestling, despite rumours that she could return to WWE.

During a recent K&S Virtual Signing, the former Raw Women’s Champion admitted that she could even join AEW. In recent years former WWE stars such as Ruby Soho, Toni Storm, and Sayara (formerly Paige) have all made the jump to Tony Khan’s promotion.

“I actually would. I keep getting asked that question, and I usually say no, but I actually would. I’m really good friends with Saraya, I love what she’s doing there. I recently met Nyla Rose. It would be kind of cool and add something different,”

Nia Jax Returning To WWE?

Despite hinting that she could join AEW, it is currently unknown whether Jax will return to the ring.

Nia Jax signed with WWE in 2014 and after appearing on NXT, she moved to the main roster two years later. During her time with the company, she won the Raw Women’s Championship once, and the Women’s Tag Team Championship twice.
