Latest reports have emerged about the reported release of this former NXT Champion.

A part of WWE since 2019, ex-NXT tag-team champion Duke Hudson has now been released by the promotion. One of the most popular names on the roster, he was a part of The Chase U stable alongside Andra Chase, Riley Osborne, and Thea Hail, which later disbanded last year in November.

In a recent report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, it was noted that WWE let go of Hudson. It was reported that the release took place in January and came to light tonight during the 3rd February episode of Raw. No specific reason was shared for the release.

Hudson last appeared on NXT television during the September 10th episode in a defeat against Ridge Holland. His last official match was a win against Anthony Luke on November 22nd in a NXT house show.

Aligned with Shane Thorne during his main roster call-up in 2020, he was quickly moved back to NXT and paired up with The Chase U.

Shortly after the news broke of the release, the reason for the WWE NXT star’s exit was revealed.

Jey Uso Shares The Origin Of His ‘Yeet’ Catchphrase In WWE

Hours after winning the 2025 Royal Rumble match, Jey Uso in an interview on Nightcap, revealed the origin of his trending catchphrase, ‘Yeet’.

“If you really pay attention, like, my brothers, Roman, we’ve kind of been saying that from the jump. If you look at old promos or whatever, you’ll hear him. You know, it’s also West Coast slang. It’s been a slang before ‘Yeet’ became a meme. Like, I’m a little older than the little homies who are like, ‘Oh, that’s just a meme, a catchphrase where you’re yeeting people.’ But it’s been slang.

The ‘T’ wasn’t even on there. It used to be ‘Ye,’ like, ‘ye e e e e e,’ you know? You said it a little too hard though, you gotta pull it back.”
