A former WWE name slams Becky Lynch and AJ Lee for what they view as a horrendous segment on SmackDown.

In the wake of AJ Lee’s return to the squared circle, Vince Russo shared some thoughts on her feud with The Man. Russo also had some harsh words directed at The Black Widow.

Vince Russo Calls AJ Lee A Mid-Carder, Blasts WWE For Becky Lynch’s Booking

On Vince Russo’s The Brand, the former WWE writer noted that it looks bad for Becky Lynch when she is seen as scared of AJ Lee, who retired in 2015 and never stepped back. Russo also feels Lee was presented as someone who had not evolved in those 10 years.

To make matters worse, The Man sold AJ Lee’s comeback like Lee was a larger opponent, Nia Jax. Russo also criticized The Black Widow’s positioning on the card. Despite her ability to draw, Vince called AJ Lee a “mid-card talent.’

The idea that ‘The Man’ is scared to death of somebody who hasn’t wrestled in 10 years, who weighs 92 pounds, and skipping my lou to the freaking ring? This is absolutely atrocious because they made Becky look like an absolute idiot–she’s the only one who doesn’t know. ‘Oh, we’re in Chicago, and we’ve been teasing AJ Lee for the last month,'” Vince Russo said.

“This is beyond freaking laughable, and here’s the thing about AJ Lee. She’s a good little hand at best. She’s a freaking mid-card talent,” he added.

At Wrestlepalooza on September 20, AJ Lee and CM Punk will team up to wrestle World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and his wife, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.
