Former WWE Champion Yet To Re-Sign With Company; New Deal Offered

Former WWE Champion Yet To Re-Sign With Company

One of the longest-serving members of the WWE roster has yet to sign a new deal despite the fact that their contract is fast approaching its expiry date.

Debuting on the main roster back in 2008, Natalya has competed in more matches than any woman in company history and has held the Women’s Championship twice in her career. Although still featured prominently on TV and has competed on both the main roster and NXT in recent weeks, it was previously reported that the WWE star’s contract was set to expire in a matter of weeks.

Much like in 2019 when AEW was on the rise, the company are once again looking to lock down stars to new multi-year deals so that they do not become free agents and can engage in discussions with the competition. However, according to a new update, nothing has changed in terms of Natalya’s status.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Natalya is yet to re-sign with the company:

“Yeah, she hasn’t signed a new deal. I don’t know if that’s anything to be alarmed over or anything like that, but that is the situation.”

In a further update in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is added that the former Women’s Champion was “offered a new deal but as of this week hadn’t signed it.”

In July, it was reported that Natalya has re-signed with WWE and has a multi-year contract with the company.

Multiple Top WWE Stars Commit To New Deals

Multiple top stars in the Women’s Division have already signed new, lucrative deals to commit to the company for the foreseeable future. Notable names who have made the commitment include Bayley and Charlotte Flair.

Yet to re-sign a new deal at the time of writing, a new update was also provided on Becky Lynch.
