Former WWE Champion Set For In-Ring Return At Pro-Wrestling NOAH The New Year 2025

Omos WWE

This former WWE Champion has arrived in Japan.

Earlier this week, heavy speculations rose about former tag-team champion Omos’ rumored appearance for Pro-Wrestling NOAH. Absent from in-ring action since 2024 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, the former champion’s next match, is now confirmed.

NOAH previously teased that an X candidate would team up with Jack Morris to challenge Naomichi Marufuji & Takashi Sugiura for the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at The New Year 2025 on January 1.

During the press conference on 27th December, Omos was officially declared for the match alongside Jack Morris. The former champion claimed that he would win the championship himself if his partner did not arrive on time.

Also on the card, WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura is scheduled to face Ulka Sasaki. The 7ft 4in tall star is widely remembered for his run with AJ Styles, and his WrestleMania feud against Brock Lesnar.

Omos Believes This Current WWE Champion Needs To Be Build Like Brock Lesnar

During an interview on The Undertaker’s Patreon, Omos opened up Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker’s current run and claimed that the promotion needs to build him up like Brock Lesnar.

My personal opinion, and maybe you can agree or disagree with me, I think [he might need] some more building him to that point because I just remember wrestling Brock last year. I think people are going to expect that, but I think Brock had so much equity that he made sense and I think before you put him with me, you want to give him a lot more equity first.

So that way he’s people feel like he’s on top of the world like he’s gone through everybody, he’s become the unstoppable machine that he is, and they say, ‘What are you going to do with a giant?’ That makes for an even better story overall.”
