Within WWE talent, it’s not uncommon for real-life fights and disagreements to happen. The latest incident that came to light was when a WWE Recruit opened up about an unpleasant experience with released NXT Star Cora Jade.
What Stirred The Matter
Alexis Lete, a former volleyball player, was briefly associated with WWE’s performance center in 2022. Lete recently appeared on That One Time With Adam Metwally podcast and talked about an incident with Cora Jade (real name Brianna Coda).
The former WWE Recruit claimed Jade reached out to her after she posted a TikTok video, citing that it ‘exposed the wrestling industry’. Lete explained that the content of the video was a run along with her typical day at the Performance Center.
“She asked me to take down a TikTok and I was like, no…. It was like this is what I did at work today. And she’s like, “You’re exposing the whole industry.” And I wasn’t. I did not give away anything, kayfabe. I was just like, “This is a fight.” You know, we were like getting ready for the flight fight and planning out like what we were doing. But I wasn’t saying I was planning out with my competition. And also, like you said, we’re not stupid. We know that. We collaborate with each other. Anyways, she was but hurt that like she couldn’t control me. And so then she wanted to.” (12:22 -12:52)
Alexis Lete also claimed that Cora Jade would not be associated with the newbies.
“She’d been there longer than me, of course. And like, but she there was no reason why I would respect her cuz she didn’t do anything to be respected. You know what I mean? Like, she didn’t come introduce herself to the new people. She didn’t make it a safe place to ask her questions about moves. Like, do you know what I mean? She didn’t offer to stay after an extra ring and help people. We would go up to her to shake her hand, introduce herself, and she’d literally turn away from us.” (12:59 – 13:17)
Cora Jade’s Response To The Bullying Accusations By The Former WWE Recruit
Cora Jade was known for her NXT contributions and was even the Tag Team Champion with Roxanne Perez.
Shortly after the interview was picked up on social media, Cora Jade took to X to tell her side of things and highlighted that the accusatory tone of bullying talents backstage was untrue and fabricated.
I shouldn’t be giving this girl an ounce more of my energy but this will be the one and only time I speak on this and if you know you know-
This girl came into the pc and immediately had heat with everyone for being disrespectful on more than one occasion. I texted this girl-— Brie Coda (@ElaynaBlack) August 21, 2025

Jade signed with WWE in 2021 and was considered a rising star on NXT. She was released in May this year, which was met with mixed reactions, given how she was positioned on the brand.
