A former WWE champion has reacted after losing his chance to qualify for the Money in the Bank match.
On June 7th, fans are set to witness arguably one of the most hyped Money in the Bank matches in a long time. With Solo Sikoa, Andrade, LA Knight, Penta, and Seth Rollins all confirmed for the ladder bout, one participant still awaits confirmation.
While fans expected the last participant to be former WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross, it seems that might not be the case anymore. Earlier on the 30th May episode of SmackDown, it was confirmed that CM Punk will face AJ Styles and El Grande Americano for a shot at the PLE spot. With the final three contenders now named, no slots are left for Kross.
Soon enough, the former champion reacted on social media.
“Yep. I saw it too.”
Despite being one of the highest merch-sellers in the promotion, Kross still finds himself away from the mainstream storylines.
Karrion Kross Knew He Could Trust This Legend Before His WWE Return
A part of NXT from 2020 to 2021, Karrion Kross was released from his contract in November 2021. However, almost a year later, in 2022, Kross made his way back to the promotion as a part of the main roster.
Recently, speaking with Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show, Karrion Kross opened up on his return and how his trust in this legend helped the comeback happen.
“I think he called me just to say happy birthday and he said we should talk soon.
I knew exactly what it meant and I was scared out of my mind… I knew I could trust him. I felt like he knew he could trust me. That’s not something that I ever want to mess with. That’s really imperative.
Just based on him having the sails of the ship, I was like, we’re going back.”
