Former WWE Champion On Why Wrestling Differs From Other Entertainment

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Al Snow has shifted his focus to nurturing the next generation of professional wrestlers.

In an interview with Busted Open Radio, former WWE Superstar Al Snow shed light on the distinctive nature of wrestling as compared to other forms of entertainment. Snow emphasised that in professional wrestling, regardless of the level, the journey is a continuous build-up towards significant moments. He highlighted the essence of creating a singular moment from the instant a wrestler steps out onto the stage.

No matter what level you’re on, it’s always a never-ending build to build to a big moment, from the moment you walk out from that curtain, you’re doing anything you can to create a singular moment.

While discussing the fleeting nature of these moments, Snow pointed out that each “moment” during a match or a story beat is short-lived, lasting only a few seconds. He stressed that every action undertaken by the wrestlers, even in televised angles or storylines, is aimed at crafting moments that culminate in a particular pivotal moment. Furthermore, he cautioned that even after this climax, wrestlers are already looking ahead to the next defining moment.

It just keeps going and going and going and you’re never satisfied and you’re always afraid that if you don’t go forward, you’re gonna slide back.
