Former WWE Champion Makes Bold Prediction For John Cena Farewell Tour

A former WWE Champion does not believe that John Cena will make history in 2025.

Cena’s retirement tour is now officially underway following the Hollywood star’s appearance on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix on January 6th. Acknowledging that it was his last time in Los Angeles as a WWE Superstar, Cena laid out his path for the next few months where he hopes to win the Royal Rumble, go onto WrestleMania and win the record-breaking 17th World Championship.

With Cena frequently referred to as “the greatest of all time” on commentary and arguably the biggest star of the 21st century, fans are anticipating that the WWE legend will have one more run with the title before all is said and done. However, according to a fellow former World Champion, one more reign will not happen.

Speaking at the Raw post-show, Big E predicted that Cena would not win the title again, referencing the stacked division who are also looking to make it to the top of the division:

“I do not. I think he will make a great effort to. Look, our roster is stacked. There are a whole bevy of people in the crowd, backstage that did not make “Raw” that have world champion written all over them. From top to bottom, I’m talking about Bron Breakker, I’m talking about GUNTHER, it goes on and on and on, guys who are currently world champions and who want to hold those titles and who are hungry to be the next ones up.”

“I think John is going to make a great effort. I think he’s going to have some classic matches. I don’t think, unfortunately, at this point of his career, I don’t think he’ll be able to be a world champion again.”

TNA Star Believes They Could Have Been Bigger Than John Cena

With 16 World Championships, multiple WrestleMania main events and a career spanning more than 2 decades, Cena is a name that will be remembered in the wrestling world for decades thanks to his accomplishments in and out of the ring. However, according to one TNA star, there could have been an alternate timeline where they would have surpassed John Cena.
