Dave Bautista Batista in WWE

This former champion wants to succeed like Dave Bautista in Hollywood.

Hollywood and WWE are often remembered quite synchronously. Over the years, several superstars have made the jump to Hollywood and established themselves as some of the biggest entities in the industry. Top names such as The Rock, John Cena, and Batista are well known for both their wrestling and Hollywood accolades.

Wanting to follow a similar path, former WWE tag-team champion Titus O’Neil recently expressed his desires during his interview on The Business of the Business podcast. Discussing the possibility of a wrestling comeback, O’Neil commented that while he wants to come back to wrestling, he desires a successful Hollywood career.

I do get the itch to get back in the ring, I love competing. I love entertaining, but as I said in previous interviews, if there’s an opportunity that works well for me to do so, yeah, we’ll definitely do it, but I’m literally getting ready to do two or three other film projects. I already did two film projects that will be coming out in 2025. I do desire to have a high level of success in Hollywood, much like my fellow WWE stars that have made that jump, including one of my best friends who got me into the business, Dave Bautista.

I am really excited about that process. I have some great people to follow, I have some great people to lean on in John Cena and Dave Bautista, to ask questions and to get kind of the best practices to help me on this journey, much like I would pick the brains of many of the veterans when it came to wrestling, I do the same thing, and fortunately, I have a lot of people that are already in Hollywood that are friends of mine that can kind of who help me continue developing in that journey.”

The inaugural 24/7 Champion recently completed a few film projects that are set to release in 2025 and wants to lean into that profession. Inspired by Bautista’s success, O’Neil finds himself interested in that process and believes he has great friends to lean on and take help from.

The leader of ‘Titus Worldwide’ was last involved in a losing effort against Bobby Lashley on the 9th November 2020 edition of Raw.

Former WWE Champion Dave Bautista’s Mother Called Him Crazy For This Major Career Decision

After tasting incredible success in professional wrestling, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor left the Stamford-based promotion to try his hand in Hollywood. Soon after he arrived in the film industry, Bautista found himself a part of several lucrative projects.

During an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Dave Bautista hilariously shared how his mother thought him to be “crazy” for this major career change.

So I was raised by a single mom. Yeah, raised by a single mom. I was such an introverted child when I went into professional wrestling. My mom, my whole family, they couldn’t believe it because I was such a shy person.

So it was when I left professional wrestling when I said, Mom, I, you know, because I was really on top. I was like, Mom, I think I’m going to leave professional wrestling. I really want to pursue acting. She said, you’re crazy. I said, but, you know, it’s really what I want to do. But my mom is my biggest fan and we are extremely close.”
