NJPW is interested in this former WWE star.
New Japan Pro Wrestling is reportedly interested in bringing in a former United States Champion into their promotion. Tom Pestock, aka Baron Corbin, recently confirmed his free agent status on January 1st.
Last year in November, Baron Corbin, alongside Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell, bid adieu to WWE. While Hartwell and Nox were released from their contract, the promotion decided to not renew their agreement with The Lone Wolf.
One of the top stars on the roster during his time at the Stamford-based promotion, Corbin’s release came as a shocker. As per a recent report from Fightful Select, the former champion has now attracted interest from New Japan Pro Wrestling. Although both the parties have been in contact, the depth of those talks is not known yet.
Fightful Select also reported that several NJPW contracts are soon to expire, and the promotion is now interested in bringing in a new talent that could “turn heads”.
Corbin has won multiple accolades in his former promotion, including a US Championship, King of the Ring, and an NXT tag-team championship. He has several other achievements on his list.
