Former WWE Announcer Says Vince McMahon Would Have Taken Them Off Announcing

Former WWE Champion Says They Were Disrespected By Vince McMahon Following PPV Main Event

Ex-WWE announcer believes Vince McMahon would have taken her off from her duties.

Earlier last year in October, Raw ring announcer Samantha Irvin shocked the world when she announced her departure from the promotion. Arguably one of the most beloved personalities on the roster, Irvin’s departure broke several hearts.

Recently, speaking on Busted Open Radio, Samantha Irvin opened up about how her career would have been if McMahon had not been running things in WWE. Irvin believes she would not have remained a ring announcer if McMahon had not been absent.

“Vince (McMahon) would have taken her off of ring announcing. He would have been like, ‘Put her somewhere else and have her do something else.’ In my head, I always thought that’s what would happen.”

Irvin claimed that the former chairman possibly saw a bigger role in her, while the current management only viewed her as an announcer.

Samantha Irvin Reveals Reason Behind WWE Departure

Last year, just days after leaving World Wrestling Entertainment, Samantha Irvin shared the real reason behind her exit. Replying to a comment on her Instagram post, she wrote:

“I don’t like announcing. I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action but I don’t love being an announcer.

I love WWE and I’m so proud and honored I got to share all the moments with fellow fans much love! also, they wanted Rico to stay in the big leagues. I don’t know why everyone pretending like he was always in great positions at WWE.”
