A top TNA name has exited the promotion and is expected to become All Elite soon.
On November 14th, fans noticed that “Speedball” Mike Bailey had been removed from the roster page, leading to many speculating that his time with the company had come to an end. In a follow-up report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Bailey now exited the promotion.
Given his excellent in-ring ability and previously acclaimed matches against Will Ospreay in TNA and Konosuke Takeshita at Maple Leaf Pro, it is no surprise that Bailey is expected to have a number of offers for the future. Also in the report, it is noted that Bailey is expected to join AEW soon and was backstage at a show back in the summer. Multiple sources within the company believe that he is set to become All Elite, with other sources confirming that “they wouldn’t have needed to write Bailey off TNA TV if he were headed to NXT or WWE.”
Bailey’s final match in the promotion saw him drop the X-Division Championship to Moose on Impact. After the match, Bailey’s former friend Trent Severn attacked him to write “Speedball” off TV. Bailey won the title 3 times while with the company.
