A former Ring Of Honor star has made their debut for IMPACT Wrestling, wrestling Crazzy Steve at their Lone Star Stampede television tapings.
IMPACT Wrestling’s latest tapings saw a number of new faces emerge in the Anthem-helmed promotion. Per PWInsider, Shane Taylor was among them, wrestling Crazzy Steve on night two of the tapings in unsuccessful fashion.
The match marked Shane’s first major match since April, when he and O’Shay Edwards defeated AJ Francis and Tehuti Miles of The HitMakerZ – Hit Row’s Top Dolla and Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis – at GCW’s For The Culture card. He’d previously been released from ROH when the company ceased operations for a few months last year.
Taylor spent seven years with then-then Sinclair-helmed promotion after debuting in 2014 and forming an alliance known as The Pretty Boy Killers with current AEW World Tag Team Champion Keith Lee. He eventually found success of his own as a one-time ROH World Television and World Six-Man Tag Team Champion.
‘The Baddest of All Time’ wrestled his final ROH match at the company’s Final Battle pay-per-view on 11 December, defeating Kenny King in a dangerous Fight Without Honor match.
Shane Taylor wasn’t alone in making his IMPACT debut, as New Japan’s Aussie Open and Yuya Uemura, Hyan, and Mascara Dorada – the former Gran Metalik – also made their debut in the IMPACT Zone.
