Former WWE NXT women’s champion has shared her view on an Intercontinental championship for the women.
A mid-card title for the WWE women’s roster has long been rumored. With a women’s North American Championship in NXT, a former champion believed the main roster deserves one female mid-card title as well.
Speaking to Ten Count Media, Lyra Valkyria opened up on the idea and shared her positive mindset on it. Valkyria believed it will pose a huge opportunity for all the women on the roster, and provide them a chance to show their capability.
I think an Intercontinental Title for the women would be incredible, it’s kind of known as that work horse title. We’ve got so many hard working women that are still waiting for a chance to step up and show what they can do and that would provide that opportunity for them. Of course, that would be incredible.”
The men’s Intercontinental title is one of the most prestigious championships in the company, and a women’s title can also help elevate the talent.
