Biff Busick, the former Oney Lorcan, has announced he’s taking a sabbatical from pro wrestling in an open apology to enquiring promoters.
One of many WWE Superstars released by the company in November 2021, Biff Busick has enjoyed a largely successful 2022 thus far. His body of work has seen the Massachusettsan in contention for best indie wrestler of the year, but this won’t be the case for much longer.
Per a Twitter post, Busick will be taking a period of absence away from the squared circle. He apologised to promoters who’d reached out to him regarding booking opportunities:
“If you have contacted me about bookings, I apologize if I haven’t immediately gotten back to you. I’ve decided to take some time away from performing in the ring. Thank you.”

There’s currently no word on why, exactly, Biff Busick is taking time away from pro wrestling. Similarly, it’s not known when – or if – he’ll return to in-ring competition.
Busick has wrestled across the North American independent circuit since his non-compete clause expired, facing top indie prospects like Jordan Oliver and Kevin Ku, as well as fellow ex-WWE stars such as Dirty Dango and Blake Christian. Biff last wrestled on 12 June for Beyond Wrestling, facing Alec Price.
In WWE, Busick failed to ever escape the mid-card for the duration of his tenure. His biggest claim to fame was a reign as NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Danny Burch, holding the titles for 153 days before they were forced to vacate the titles when Burch suffered an injury.
