AEW’s The Factory as a new member, and one that might be familiar to AEW fans.
Leader of The Factory QT Marshall had previously reached out to Karter on last weeks Dark: Elevation only for Karter to decline. However, having already been victorious in singles competition over Serpentico on the August 2nd edition of Dark: Elevation, he was asked in a backstage interview with Lexy Nair if he had considered the offer from the group.
The Factory then approached with Marshall telling Karter they are not like other wrestling factions because they are a family. With the two then shaking hands Karter officially became the fifth member.
Alongside Marshall, Karter joins fellow members Nick Comoroto, Aaron Solo, and Anthony Ogogo and it marks the first time The Factory have been successful in adding a new member to their set-up despite frequent attempts to recruit. Karter is no stranger to the company having wrestled several matches on both AEW: Dark and AEW: Elevation prior to signing with WWE.
Karter previously worked for WWE under the NXT brand as part of the D’Angelo family and was released from WWE back on June 11th due to an unnamed policy violation. This was later revealed to be a failed drug test.
Despite his release, he would remain on TV until June 28th due to NXT’s advanced taping schedule.
During the June 28th episode of NXT 2.0, Tony D’Angelo and Stacks stood on a bridge where D’Angelo would imply that Two Dimes had passed away and proceeded to throw Dimes’ leather jacket into the water, saying that Dimes is now “sleeping with the fishes.”
